Today is the annual Baseball Solstice, the mid-point between the final out of the World Series and the first games of Spring training. Trust me when I say, I can’t wait for baseball season. I just spent an hour clearing ice off the windshields and windows of our two cars.
Thanks to my older son and his family, I have sporty new fitted San Francisco Giants cap to wear. With a few flurries falling, I chose not to wear it when clearing the cars. Instead, I chose a Princeton knitted cap to help keep me warm while I chunked away the ice.
As more flurries fly outside our central New Jersey home, I wish all my readers well for these last few days of 2025 and all the best in 2026. ๐งข
I love this solstice you invented. Such an excellent idea! And great gift. I always liked the orange and black Giants cap, same colors as my elementary school. We were the Richard’s Tigers.
As we say at Princeton, go Tigers! Thanks, Steve.
i guess it will start staying lighter longer now.
I like the colors in the hat! Happy baseball solstice.
Thanks!
