Manny Ramirez is switching caps, donning Dodger blue after getting traded by the Red Sox.
I had my hands on a Dodger cap once, a giveaway in a swag bag at a convention in Los Angeles. From an aesthetic viewpoint, the Dodger cap is appealing, the crisp white LA standing out on the blue background.
Surely I could find a place in my collection for it.
My Giants allegiance, however, was too strong. I couldn’t even put the thing on my head. So I gave it away to my boss, whose only true flaw is being a Dodger fan.
The rules in our Northern California home are simple: Love your mother. Hate the Dodgers.
